12 Tweets of Christmas

January

Here at Zebra we quickly shook off our post Christmas blues in order to look optimistically to the year ahead. After celebrating our 5th anniversary last year, we looked on 2016 as a year in which we could build on our successes and expand our horizons. We wanted to try things we haven’t done before and improve on what we are renowned for. Thanks for being here for the past five years and we look forward to being with you for the next five.

February

Spring was on the way and we developed our relationship with companies in the water industry, working closely with them to help them win tenders in their highly competitive sector.

March

In March we teamed up with our friends at video production and animation specialists Soup Creative to produce a testimonial video for Idox’s new product iApply. It was an incredibly enjoyable project for all parties involved and it taught us so much about the creative process of video production. We look forward to working with Soup Creative on similar projects in the future.

April

April was a very busy month at Zebra HQ. We were reminded of the importance of internal communications after helping a new client develop its first ever internal newsletter. So many businesses are focused on communicating with potential customers, it’s easy to forget how vital the channels of communications with your own employees are. A newsletter is a great way to ensure mutual understanding between management and staff.

We had a thrilling trip to London for Marketing Week Live. As a small PR and marketing agency, we believe it is vital to attend events like this, to stay on top of the latest trends and opportunities for marketers. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the new trends arising and new technology available and we can’t wait to see what next year will bring.

May

With May came a new experience for Zebra Marketing as we got the opportunity to expand into book editing. The piece, centred around coping with single parenthood, will be released by an independent publisher and available in 2017. It was great to push the limits of what we do here at Zebra and we look forward to more similar opportunities to come.

June

The hotly anticipated European Union referendum saw Britain vote to leave the European Union by a tiny margin. At Zebra we were lucky enough to travel to Glasgow, along with software solution business Idox, to film at a vote count for their election product. It was a great day helping one of our clients and it was also fascinating to see the events of the day unfold in and amongst the drama.

July

One of the highlights of July was a trip to Crewe to visit The Printing House. We spent the day seeing how they do things, from learning about the different types of lamination to seeing binding and butting in action. It was an extremely interesting day that gave us a lot of insight into the hard work

and expertise that goes into print manufacturing, which is the reason we value it so highly here at Zebra.

Thanks to The Printing House once again for their hospitality!

August

Once again in August we teamed up with Soup Creative on a promotional film for our friends at Barnstondale, a children’s activity centre in the heart of the Wirral. Children enjoying an exciting summer with North West Summer Camps were called in to participate in a fun filled day of activities, which was all caught on camera. The work done by Soup really reflected Barnstondale’s ethos of all-inclusive fun.

It was a great day for all and it was amazing to help put Barnstondale on the map!

September

September came and we got dolled up for the Stick ‘n’ Step Hollywood themed ball at the Chester Grosvenor Hotel. The event, designed to celebrate the success of the children who benefit from the centre, was attended by some very special VIPs who told the other guests about how Stick ‘n’ Step had helped them. The guests in attendance raised thousands of pounds for the charity, which will go a long way in providing the best care for the children requiring Stick ‘n’ Step’s services. At Zebra we feel very honoured to be associated with such an amazing charity. A great night was had by all and, more importantly, it raised a lot of money for a very worthy cause.

October

October saw the addition of a brand new face in the Zebra office with the arrival of our new Senior Account Manager Maggie Austen. Maggie brings a great wealth of knowledge to the role, with over 20 years of experience in the PR industry and having worked for some of the North West’s leading PR consultancies. She has particular experience in business to business marketing, including internal communications, media relations and crisis PR planning.

November

In November we took the reins of an exciting new buffet restaurant opening in Chester. Panda Mami, which officially opened its doors on Monday the 28th of November, is an international gastronomic experience, with dishes from all around the world on offer. Guests tasted the huge array of foods and were treated to some authentic Eastern entertainment.

We were thrilled to work with the team at Panda Mami and the night was a great success all round.

December

2016 has been a very busy and exciting year for Zebra, we have welcomed brand new clients and brand new faces to the team. As it’s December it’s time to wish our friends, clients and colleagues a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We can’t wait to tell you what we have been up to in 2017!
