Zebra Marketing & Communications Ltd was founded in 2010, We chose Zebra as our name and mascot due to this magnificent animal’s dedication, determinism, sociability, and kick ass attitude!
Did you know…?
Known collectively as a dazzle, zebras are supposedly one of the only animals to see in colour, so it’s slightly ironic that they are black and white… Speaking of which, did you know a zebra is actually black with white stripes!
Clara Hughes
Clara has over 30 years’ experience in PR, marketing and communications, and is a Chartered Marketer with an MSc in Marketing.
She started her career in a full-service agency before moving in-house for a number of years, building an extensive background within a variety of business to business and trade and technical industries.
Clara runs the business, co-ordinates the team and ensures that our clients are always happy.

Clara was one of the founding directors of Wrexham Business and Community Awards.
Maggie Austen
Having worked for some of the North West’s leading PR consultancies, Maggie brings a wealth of knowledge to her role, with more than 30 years’ experience in the industry.
She has particular expertise in business-to-business marketing, including internal communications, media relations and crisis PR planning, and writing successful award entries.
Did you know…?
Maggie has done a sky dive from a height of 15,000 feet. She’s also enjoyed scuba diving, white water rafting, climbing and abseiling.
Howard Hughes
Howard writes, edits and proofreads anything and everything required for Zebra and our clients. His ear for language has helped win several awards for clients and his creativity is a huge asset to our team’s outputs.
Did you know…?
Howard is also a published author, specialising in film, history and music. He has provided writing, audio commentaries and video essays for over 50 DVD and Blu-ray film releases. Since 2001, he has researched and written 16 books, and he was one of a team of authors who worked on ‘The James Bond Archives’, to mark 50 years of 007.
Kathryn Walsh
Kathryn has 15 years’ experience across content marketing, PR and media relations, copywriting, social media, design and SEO.
With a particular interest in the equestrian, crafting and charity sectors, Kathryn has worked with a broad range of start-up SMEs, leading B2B and B2C clients and national franchises in numerous sectors.
Did you know…?
With a passion for horse-riding, Kathryn has ridden a shire horse across the Lake District countryside.
