2019 – some Zebra highlights

2019 has been one of our best and busiest years yet here at Zebra Marketing. Here are just a few of our highlights over the last 12 months.

January

The start of the year saw the first of our four Ask the Expert features in key trade publication The Farmer. Written for our client Forge Property Consultants, this was a great way to reach their agricultural client base.

We also wrote several blogs for Revive Dental Care, ranging on diverse topics from the dangers of teeth cleaning fads to the importance of oral healthcare resolutions. Who knew lemon juice is so bad for your teeth?

February

In February, we successfully ‘sold in’ a story to Granada TV about our friend and client Maja Kenny becoming a blood bike rider. A camera crew followed her on one of her rounds in North Wales and she featured in an interview in Granada Tonight. In the same month, we were lucky enough to be invited to attend a recital for world famous pianist Noriko Ogawa by one of our charity clients, Barnstondale, the inclusive adventure and activity centre.

March

In March we enjoyed scripting a great little animated video for WriteUpp, cloud based software for health and wellbeing professionals. In the same month, Forge Property Consultants’ new website went live, showcasing the breadth of the company’s expertise.

April

In April, our client RoyalHaskoningDHV’s innovative wastewater product Nereda won the coveted title ‘Wastewater Project of the Year’ at Global Water Awards 2019, held in the Natural History Museum, London. Our director Clara Hughes, who wrote the award-winning entry, also took some time out of the office to run a marketing workshop a little closer to home at the Wrexham Hub.

May

In May we were delighted to launch a microsite for RoyalHaskoningDHV’s offshore wind consultancy. So far the team has lead the successful consent of 10GW of offshore wind in the UK and supported over 20GW of projects worldwide. In the same month our director Clara became IOD Regional Ambassador for Business and the Arts in Cheshire.

June

Months of hard work paid off in June when our cable manufacturing software provider client Cimteq launched its new Cimteq Academy, an online Resource Learning Centre. White papers, e-learning, webinars, case studies and more, it’s a complete suite of learning materials.

July

Working closely with our videographer partner KnewProductions, we toured a number of wastewater plants to film RoyalHaskoningDHV’s Nereda in action. Despite the unseasonable weather, we got some great footage, which really illustrates this game-changing technology. Making a splash the same month, client FLI Water exhibited at EWWM. We were delighted to design and produce its new stand for the occasion.

We had a great time helping to raise funds for our client cerebral palsy charity @SticknStep. A lovely Ladies Lunch was organised by Flavell Wealth Management and held in a beautiful setting at Hillbark Hotel.

August

Content marketing plays a huge part in what we do for many clients but we love exploring topics in greater detail too. We were delighted to secure and write a double page spread editorial in iBuild for new client CBHomes, showcasing the spectacular Mill Pool development in Eaton, Cheshire.

September

Two intrepid employees of our client Amore Group abseiled down the iconic west door of Liverpool Cathedral to raise funds for Liverpool charity Nugent and we got some great coverage for them in the Liverpool Echo.

We enjoyed prepping our client EP-Tech to go ‘back to school’ with new business cards, new literature and new stand for Education Estates, the UK’s largest education spaces event.

October

We were very pleased to secure a great level of coverage in the regional press this month for our cerebral palsy client Stick ‘n’ Step, which provides free of charge conductive education sessions to children across the North West and receives fantastic support from local communities and business.

Our client University of Chester held the Innovation to Commercialisation (i2C) Awards 2019 in October. The ceremony recognised the extraordinary achievements made by eight of the 120 businesses from across Cheshire and Warrington which have benefited from the i2C project over the last two years, working at Thornton Science Park and NoWFOOD in Chester. We were pleased to create case studies for a number of the award winners and other beneficiaries, which will inspire other entrepreneurs to bring forward their own innovations.

November

The CIPD Conference and Exhibition took place over two days at Manchester Central. We enjoyed supporting our client Career Evolution at the event. Their new stand we had designed and their special edition newsletter we had written for the event looked great too!

December

With the new year just round the corner, the countdown has started to Farnborough 2020 and we are excited to be providing marketing support again to our client Merit Holdings at the world-famous air show. Zebra will also be celebrating ten years in business in June 2020.

Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
