Filming day for playground specialist Ace Play

Earlier in the year, our clients at Wrexham-based Ace Play, the indoor and outdoor playground equipment specialists, were approached by S4C’s popular Welsh television show Prosiect Pum Mil for help on its next exciting project.
The TV show is renovating an old sailing club in Pwllheli, Wales, which is not at all fit for purpose, into a space for children with disabilities and learning difficulties. The TV show team hopes to transform a play area into different zones, create a sensory room, a family room and an outside area too. The Ace Play team was asked to help with providing and installing the specialist rubber flooring and a round swing.
In March, the two presenters of Prosiect Pum Mil, Trystan Ellis-Morris and Emma Walford, along with a camera crew, visited the Ace Play workshop and head office in Wrexham. Andrew Ellis, Ace Play’s managing director, agreed to manufacture, supply and install the equipment for free to help with such an amazing cause. Trystan and Emma were overwhelmed to learn the donation from Ace Play is worth around £5,000 and as an added bonus, Andrew also donated artificial grass.
Filming took place in May when the Ace Play team installed the equipment in Pwllheli. Andrew said about the day, “It is fabulous to be supporting the production team to convert this space into a multi-functional space for disadvantaged children. The day ran smoothly, and we were all happy to donate our time. We can’t wait to see the television show when it airs.”
